- Exactly, but for some strange reason, bigots just can't seem to understand your analogy. 26 other nations listed elsewhere in this thread _instantly_ implemented the change with no problems. They didn't study it to death over and over again for years as a thinly disguised delay tactic.

- Yes, , our $500 billion "defense" budget and the $40 billion spent on "intelligence" agancies did so very well against 19 guys in hijacked 767s, didn't it? The threat has changed from nation-states to small groups of criminals and yet our defense industry still continmues to crank out hugely …

- Robotic probes don't pee, if they "die" due to a mission failure it's only money lost, they don't need food, water and a pressurized atmosphere all of which are _extremely_ expensive to provide in space (in other words, they don't need anything while in space that isn't already available IN space) …
